Most research shows that us people need around 8 hours of sleep, but a lot of us aren’t getting that much at all. Among, pulling all niters for papers to partying into the morning, college students often don’t have the best sleeping habits. But while these choices are voluntary, some college students are kept awake against their will by sleep disorders.

Over time, these nights that we are missing sleep, whether its caused by sleep disorders or simply from not enough time to just sleep, can build into a sleep deficit. People with a sleep deficit are unable to concentrate, study, and work effectively. They also may experience emotional problems, like depression.

Stress can be a major cause of sleepless nights, when your body is always at the red zone, your body doesn’t go off to sleep easily. Depression is a serious problem, it can be caused by any major or minor event in your life. Depression affects your sleep enormously. Usually waking up way early in the morning and then finding yourself in the middle of confusion can lead many to become afraid of going to bed.

Another factor that affects your sleep is too much alcohol, caffeine or nicotine. These are all serious factors which affect your sleep. You should avoid these since they all trigger various wrong hormones in your body. They all make you go to sleep at different times.

Most people have the occasional night of disturbed sleep. Insomnia is a feeling of not being able to get enough sleep. It’s usually related to finding it hard to get to sleep, waking up without having had enough sleep or not feeling refreshed after sleep. One in four people are thought to suffer from insomnia at some point in their lives. Insomnia is the inabilities to fall asleep or to stay asleep long enough to get a proper night’s sleep.

Insomnia is indeed the most prevalent sleep disorder in the world. One third of all adults have a background of some type of insomnia and nearly ten percent have persistent sleepless nights. The disease can be defined by its time duration and is categorized by three types of sleepless nights which are transient, short term, and chronic.

Transient sleepless nights can be suggestive of a sleepless night that lasts from only one night to several weeks and is most likely related to alterations in the sleep schedule, such as traveling or sleeping in unusual surroundings. Short term sleepless nights last a relatively longer period of time, usually from two to three weeks in time and can be linked to emotional influences such as anxiety or stress. Chronic sleepless nights, the most severe type of sleeplessness, occur essentially every night and can last a month or more.

A powerful all natural supplement that will help you get straight to sleep and stay asleep, is trying Straight 2 Sleep, when you awake in the morning you will feel both more alert and refreshed. This has six all natural ingredients that work together synergistically, to provide you with the rejuvenating sleep your body and mind deserve.
